After-School Program

After School Program

The afterschool program at Rudsdale is integrated into the student’s academic experience and social emotional support system.  Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) serves Rudsdale High by providing the majority of elective programming.  Students are given engaging and diverse opportunities like hands-on projects, leadership roles, and culturally responsive and immersive experiences. In addition, our program creates connections with community partners, develops and builds students’ skills, and fosters self-reflection and personal development. Programs such as Beat Making, Holistic Wellness, DMV prep, Soccer Without Borders, Crucible Internship, Hiking, Yoga, Guitar, Ethnic Studies and Leadership in Diversity provide students valuable skills, techniques, and expose them to new perspectives and cultures.

Through elective programs and collaborative partnerships, students earn elective credits, taking them one step closer to their high school diploma. In addition to electives, we offer several internship opportunities that allow students to gain workforce experience while earning a stipend. These internships are designed to align with their academic commitments at Rudsdale, including maintaining a minimum GPA and regular attendance. This structure ensures a smooth transition between daytime classes and extended day activities.

After school programs take place Wednesdays from  12:00pm - 1:30pm, and Monday, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 1:30pm - 2:30pm.
